The “Casa de la Virgen” estate is located in the municipality of Valleseco lies at an altitude of 600 m. above sea level and it covers an area of 17,000 m2. Within the “Barranco de La Virgen”, a ravine which cuts through the Island of Gran Canaria from its centre down to the North Coast its environmental and historical value is incalculable. This location makes it a privileged place for lovers of nature and trekking. It is part of the Valleseco municipality and the Parque Rural de Doramas.
Special mention should go to the flora that can be seen upon visiting, notable for the extensive variety and quality of this flora, which enhances any hillside trek. Visiting, you will discover oaks and chestnut tress, for example, amongst a very large number of endemic species such as the very special local pine tree, some specimens of which stand out for their height and age, like the one locally known as “El Pino de la Virgen”. Worth noting is the abundance of fruit bearing trees such as the plum, the medlar, the orange and the lemon tree along with a variety of fig trees.

“El Pajar de la Casa de La Virgen” historic grain shed from the end of the 19th century and found at the “Casa de la Virgen” (Home of the Virgin) estate.
After a careful restoration it has now 2 double bedrooms, and every convenience necessary for comfort (photos).

A wonderful house in the middle of paradise 23/Jan/2010 This is a wonderful house in the middle of paradise.Inside the house is everything you need, to keep a good holiday. Everything in the house are new and modern and all are functioning optimally. The house is all so clean and nice, so fragrant and charming - to the smallest detail.Just outside the house is the most beautiful nature you can imagine. Just to sit outside on the bench, eating your lunch, is an experience. Here is completely quiet. You are in the middle of the most amazing nature as soon as you step outside the door.There are hiking trails near the house where you can go for walks and see how different nature is. Beautiful mountains, lots of interesting plants, trees and schrubs and citrus-plantations. Everything so fragrant and wonderful that we one day have to return.
